I am happy to say that Casa Cancado is Holiday ready! Getting our home ready for the holidays is a very special time for me. I love to make the house feel festive, and I also love that there are so many ways of going about it. What are some of your DOs and DON’Ts when decorating for the Holidays? How is your home for the holidays?
Here are a few of my MUST haves and must NOT haves when decorating for Christmas time.
When decorating the Christmas tree, I feel that most ornaments MUST color coordinate. Also, the Christmas tree must NOT be too lean. I like the tree to be big and fat with lots of lights.
Today we are showing how-to-style an entryway for the holidays in three different ways. We’ve put together a festive look, an elegant and modern look, and finally, a simple, yet gorgeous winter look.
1:: Bright and Festive, but not too festive
First, we wanted to create a holiday look that was not very traditional. So for this look, we chose our “Ink and Charcoal” print to add a subtle color to the room. In addition, we’ve bundled a couple of decorative Christmas trees together. Grouping similar items together is the best way to make them stand out. For the greenery, we added a plant from around the house instead of a traditional Christmas greenery.
We’ve made a list. We’ve checked it twice. We modified it, but then finally decided it was nice. Now that it is all done, it is time to think about unique gift wrapping paper. So, gather your supplies and let’s have an elf gift wrapping party, shall we? All you need is a Kraft paper roll, black paint, and white strings.
