Come on in. Have a sit and take a look around Lucas and Alex’s room. I was so happy when I received the photos from Andreina’s twin boys’ nursery this week. I love the use of bold colors with the pale blue wall. It is so soothing and happy at the same time. A lot of her wall art she found on etsy, including the spanish numbers above the closet from Art and Philantrophy, and the three woodland critters prints by John W. Golden. From Trendy Peas, she opt for the custom birth design. Each canvas has its own color scheme customized for Andreina. It worked so well above each crib. It is very fun to see the birth stats of Lucas and Alex side by side. Another item that I truly loved is the little train with their initials on it. Very cute. I love the curtain print and the little bird decal next to each crib. Thanks Andreina for sharing your nursery with us. Good luck with your babies!
As promised, we just added another design to our collection of wall decal. I really like how this design turned out. We finished shooting some images this weekend. It was a lot of fun to have the photos done with our babies. You can see my little Marcus on the image below. For details on this particular tree decal check out our etsy store here.
I am thrilled to see our first magazine feature. The Australian magazine Shop4Kids is featuring our Birth Print as one of their picks for their arts and crafts session. Along with Trendy Peas is also some of the beautiful designs by Rachel Castle, Mandy Sutcliffe and Monica Gaspar. Thank you so much Shop4Kids. Seeing the issue today just made my day. Yay!
I just came across this fun mini robot art set by John W. Golden. These robots are printed on paper and wrapped around a small wooden blocks. The set comes with 8 robots and sells for $48. Very fun and colorful. What a great idea! For more info and details visit John’s store here.
February has been filled with celebrations. First was Trendy Peas’ first birthday. And now, my little Bela turned 3 last Sunday. How fast was that! My little baby is 3 years old now. I can’t even express how wonderful it is. I had a lot of fun decorating the house, baking the cake, and making the goody bags for her party. We had about 12 kids and 18 adults for the big day. We had a ton of fun. Unfortunately, the pictures of the party didn’t turn out very good. So I don’t have much to share this time. But I will make sure to have great pictures and decorating ideas next time around.
To my Bela: Happy Birthday Boo-boo.
When we launched TrendyPeas.com back in February of 2009, I wasn’t sure what to expect of the year 2009. But thanks Raquel, my dear sister, and the other half of Trendy Peas; Alex, my supportive and optimistic husband; my two loving and inspirational kids; Mark Staples, from Staples Fine Art; a little web tool called Etsy; and the ladies from the post office who always make the trips to the post office more enjoyable, 2009 turned out full of good surprises.
One year has passed now. And we just can’t believe. We have many, many more ideas for 2010. And we hope it will be another year full of good surprises.
Next in our agenda… wall decals. Stay tuned for details.
